Brazilian actor and audio technician with a passion for music who aspires to inspire and create positive experiences through his electronic music endeavors while embracing diverse hobbies and interests. Fernando Peiter is this month's SoundGym Hero!
I'm Fernando Peiter, an actor and audio technician. I have worked with dubbing and audio recording in São Paulo, Brazil, since 2015.
I began taking acoustic guitar lessons using my father's guitar when I was around 16 years old. After that, I received guitar lessons and joined a band with other students.
As soon as I passed the college entrance exam, I had to stop my music studies to attend the theater program at an university in another state, Santa Catarina. While I was there, I attended my first Rave, and I absolutely loved it! After that, I began searching for information about electronic music and DJing. Unfortunately, there was hardly any content available in my native language, and my knowledge of English was limited. Nevertheless, I never stopped learning through social media, taking one small step at a time.
I enjoy building models, particularly airplanes, helicopters, and ships. However, I had to put this hobby on hold since 2020 because my cat tends to break them. In my leisure time, I like to read books watch movies, and series as I find them a great source of inspiration. Occasionally, I seek solitude, either spending time with my cat or meditating for a while.
I often go out to discover new restaurants with my girlfriend. Additionally, I volunteer at a Spiritual Center, which I find to be a wonderful place for relaxation, spiritual connection, soul nourishment, and helping others.
I have no idea. Nothing special or abnormal. (like removing ear hair with your nails hahaha).
I want to inspire people and make them have a positive experience with my songs, something like a mental or emotional journey.
I once aspired to heal people with music in an almost mathematical manner, but today I realize that music, if it resonates with you, already elicits pleasant sensations in the body and, as such, is a form of healing in itself."
I adore Hans Zimmer's compositions. The films and games I love the most bear his signature, and good music truly makes all the difference in these cases, as well as in all cases. Just witnessing him compose one of these pieces would be incredible."
I usually drink a cup of coffee, take a breath and do my best not to be anxious or in a rush because this often affects my results. And now I need to make sure that my cat won't be around because some exercises bother her and she jumps on the keyboard hahaha.
I believe 'Rebirth' by Angra holds a special place in my heart. It has accompanied me through numerous exciting moments in my life. During my teenage years, heavy metal dominated my playlist, and Angra held a pivotal role in my musical journey. Being an internationally renowned Brazilian band with a sound I adored, it was one of the few songs I could play on the guitar, especially during jam sessions with my friends. The lyrics carry a deep significance for me, reflecting moments of overcoming depression and the joys of adolescence.
These days, this song resonates with my new beliefs about life and the soul, influenced by spiritism.
My Yamaha - HS80 monitors. While I may not have experienced songs through numerous speaker systems, I consider them a worthwhile investment because I thoroughly enjoy listening to anything with them.
I love the possibily to analyze and compare sounds in tools like Distorted Reality, Reverb Wizard, or Dr. Compressor because it helps sharpen your ears for various situations. It's undoubtedly the best way to train and learn while having fun. You're essentially learning through engaging games.
Well, I'm 41 years old, but I'm just getting started with my music journey. My plan for next year is to create some awesome Sound Packs, produce a ton of tracks as an artist or even a ghost producer, and finally launch my Electronic Music Project.
