Am I missing something? There are some games that have a tutorial video and other that do not, correct? Or do they pop up as you move along? There are some things I feel like I am just guessing at what I am supposed to be looking for when practicing.

It would be nice to have tutorial videos for each exercise...what I look for is the description before the game and if that doesn't help maybe there's YouTube videos about each game...I feel you though I felt the same way and I had to learn the hard way of just experimenting the first few times and then I understood–I wish I would've checked YouTube first lol

Hey everyone,

Every day, you show up here to train your ears, side by side with thousands of others. And one thing kept bugging us: a gym full of people who love music, and almost nobody plays it together.

So we built a yard out back. It’s called JamYard, and as of today it’s open.

You open a Jam and the loop is already going around. Someone is shaping a bassline, someone just brightened the hats. You touch a key and your note is in the groove, live, with everyone else in the room.

A studio in a browser tab. Drum machines, acid boxes, string machines, organs with spinning speakers, pianos, basses, a whole family of synths, and a mic channel for your voice.

Four or eight bars. That’s the whole canvas, on purpose. Small enough that nobody overthinks it, big enough to say something real.

Take a Snapshot. Like what you just played? One press and it joins the Jam’s history for good. Someone picks it up, flips the bassline, snaps again. Nothing is ever lost.

Publish your Snaps. Save your best musical moments. Publish them, and the most-loved ones show up on the JamYard homepage for everyone to hear.

Every note is played by a person. No uploads, no imported loops. If it’s in a Jam, somebody’s hands put it there.

Free members can jump in today with a full set of instruments. Pro opens the whole studio.

That sounds great, but respectfully, we do need some improvements to the overall interface.

We need many more samples in the Bass Detective game. We also need a fix for Reverb Wizard so that the “cutoff glitch” is no longer audible when switching between samples. Right now, that glitch makes it too easy to identify the odd sample, which undermines the purpose of the exercise.

Also, if I might add, an inverse of Bass Detective that focuses exclusively on high frequencies would be a great addition.

These improvements would make the games more effective and the overall experience much better.
