Fun is a great work for it. Yaz (aka Yazoo) were a great band. It;s interesting to me how all the singers he has worked with sound very similar - Alison Moyen and Andy Bell, has anyone seen them in the same room? 😉
does anyone know the difference between Drums and HD Drums in Dr Compressor? I have a much harder time hearing the difference in the former rather than the latter, but not sure why...
Self-taught musician, bass player, and mixing engineer with a soft spot for finger drumming, Vitalii Mizhenin never went to music school or found a mentor, just relentless questioning of anyone who knew more, literature consumed cover to cover, and an out-of-tune guitar pushed into service for homemade, multi-layered recordings, before discovering that the ear, like everything else, can be trained. @Vitalii Mizhenin is this month's SoundGym Hero!
Congratulations Vitalii, We can finally put a face to an orange square, that’s the ultimate irony for someone who loves photography (jokes) So you have a link to listen your music ? I would really like to hear. The most surprising thing is that it looks like a different personality in every photo.. I can see why you had trouble choosing :P By the way you said that you don't know a selft taught, just so you know, I’m οne of them, no books involved, relying solely on intuition, feelings and daily work, from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. So you didn't look hard enough, I wasn't far off, though, haha. It's really a pleasure to know you more and this is a wonderful interview; I wish you all the best for the future, and see you soon at upcoming competitions. P.S. If you ever feel like whipping up a culinary creation for us, don't hesitate for a second, I'd be curious to see how it turns out! :D
Congratulations! Glad to read your interview! Very interesting to know you a little more, another self taught guy here haha! Best wishes for the future!
'I came for the (funny) trptych, but stayed for the good read'. As Cindy points out, your profile pic is not flattering at all ;) Thanks for sharing your musical journey with us and congrats for a great interview.
Fleetwood Mac Made Go Your Own Way In Pieces, Not Moments
Go Your Own Way turns 50 this year. Lindsey Buckingham demoed the whole thing solo, drums included, by hitting Kleenex boxes. Mick Fleetwood turned that into real drums and kept it loose on purpose, playing against John McVie's dead steady bass. That contrast is the groove.
Hey Audiophiles, I hope everyone is doing great! I wanted to ask you something. Does anyone in this community have an audio alliance subscription? If so, I would like to connect with you. Please let me know, if anyone has the subscription, will share the subscription accordingly, if you are fine with this.
Also, any other Industry standard audio or vst plugin subscriptions are also welcome. Please feel free to reach out to me for the discussion.
Thanks in advance for your precious time and consideration.
@Cindy Preta@Stelios Mavroyiannis Thanks guys! It was really hard to be honest! Especially because several voice samples don't start playing until a few seconds in, and all you hear is background noise... Congratulations to everyone on your scores!
