I think, that's the best video about hearing compression. Nobody speaks about release the way Gregory does. (And it should be added as one of the learn videos definitely). From my perspective, when you play Dr. Compressor you have very fast attack and release. That means, that you've should listen to sustain of the source. When you have congas, the more compressed one will last WAY longer (you not only hear the hit of the surface, but what happens right after that hit). Don't worry, watch this video (and listen to the groove), take a break, come back tomorrow. It's a practice that needs a lot of time! Good Luck
Hey, hello everyone, is this the right place to suggest SoundGym UI improvements? If so, could I recommend adding the top 3 high-scores to the game information screen, below 'Your current level'? Selecting each game and seeing the scores would be very easy to track which games require some improvements.
That too! I've lost count how many time's I've forgotten to change it and ended up with a training sound that I don't want to use. I really like the variety of sounds, but sometimes I do like to just use one sound over and over. If I do bad on a game, I just hit F5 to refresh, as it allows you to start again without having to re-select the sound.
Good morning everyone! Thanks to the wonderful feedback this community has given me on many mixes, my new album is finally being released. As a thank you to the Soundgym community, I'm allowing for free downloads of my 13-track album “Return to Space Command Seven” until it releases on streaming platforms 1/13/2026. I have it set up as NAME YOUR PRICE, but no obligation whatsoever! Grab it, share it and enjoy! It is far more important to me to have people enjoy my music than make a few dollars. Thank you all so much! Live long and rock. ASTROFREQ https://astrofreq.bandcamp.com/album/return-to-space-command-seven
I finally passed Level 1 of EQ Cheetah TT. It was taunting me for weeks but I finally locked in and my ears reached EQ flow state. This is my message to the world that you can do whatever you set your mind to!
TO SOUNDGYM's TEAM: Guys, it would be absolutely PHENOMENAL :)) if we could use EQ Mirror to practice on VOCALS and Guitars (Acoustic and Electric). But especially on Vocals, this would be such an epiphany for so many people who struggle to EQ a vocal track well in their sessions. Please consider it and please make it happen, this would be like a revolution because vox are the star of the show in probably 90% of people's productions. Thanks and have a nice one today!
