hi guys :)) sorry for posting so much, but today i tried to make a very simple mix with just a synth, bass, drums and vocals. its my first time recording and mixing vocals, i would love any feedback anyone is willing to offer since i dont think it sounds that good, and would love to know how to make it sound better. im having a lot of issues with trying to push the vocal forward in the mix without making it sound raw and just the general raw vocal sound of it, and how to get a more professional sound

this is the link :)

also for those who provided feedback or listened to and remember the track i posted just before this one, i did some work on it and this is what i have so far, i think its about 80% of the way there, its not fully finished yet though

Demo Creative V1: Definitely better, try adding some reverb to some of the drums. You could also try adding some new elements to the mix.

Vocal Mix 1: The vocal is too far back. Bathe it in a delay and reverb in parallel, then add the right amount to the original track. Again, try playing with modulations and automation on the rest of the track.
Keep experimenting you will get great results!
Good luck :)

hi everyone :)) i made another mix, im hoping to get any feedback on it - anything will help me. i havent been able to finish a full track like this in a moment, and in this one i tried to very subtly use loops to texture my mix, as well as utilise automation more, especially on the main synth and in the bass. let me know if anything sounds off to you :))

Rachel! My gut instinct tells me to be careful saying what I think here as I am not sure what you are aiming for.

What I will say though is that I agree with the absent low end but other than that I think it sounds balanced yet a tad bit safe for my liking. I feel like you could take some more risks with the arrangement and the sound selection.

I will stop there for now and just thank you for sharing and wish you good luck! =)

Hi Rachel :) I agree with Dottor and John's suggestions. Yes, you should try to add a little more movement to the track. Experiment with the sound design and the advice the guys gave you, experiment with automation and composition. I'm sure the track would benefit greatly!

Is the SPI like your IQ? Well, if it is......... I ONLY HAVE 13 IQ!!!!!! (SPI)😭😭😭😭
I realised something when playing panning games
When I turn my sub off it's way easier, I guess the sub frequencies collapse the stereo image a little to the middle?
profile
Typically they are in the middle. It makes sense that when the middle is 'removed', the sides stand out more.

I had a similar revelation today. My browser window was off-center to the left and I found that panning games are much simpler if it's dead center.
Probably unnecessary overhead due mapping the sound field to the diagram and holding the head in a symmetric position.
Happy Valentine!!!❤️🔊🚀🎇🥰
