Now that I'm officially good at this game, am I the only one who thinks the way it's graded is kind of nonsense? Near as I can figure, it scores your accuracy based on what dB level you set the faders at, but that doesn't really anything to do with balance at all. Balance isn't just volume, but volume relationships between elements. So many times I've failed a stage because I would set the loudest instrument to unity and my overall balance would either be too loud or too quiet, even though the actual balance I set could be so close to the example that toggling between them looks like moving a VCA fader. It's so infuriating!

True, should be 'Balance and Overall Level Memory'. Took me a minute to figure that out.

Tip 2: Establish a range, first.

Unless you have been blessed with good enough hearing or have reached the pinnacle of human hearing, don't stress about hearing the exact frequency or dB. Instead, start by giving yourself a range as wide, or wider, as you may need based on what you hear. This approach has helped me understand the frequency range better without the stress and frustration [which can easily deter anyone from moving along] of getting it right every time. It has also helped me develop my hearing. For example, this approach has helped me with EQ Cheetah [yes, I'm still on Level 1 [no shame: cat-like reflexes are another skill and sticky trackpad an impediment]], where I noticed I'm getting more answers right than wrong consistently. It has also helped me with other exercises, such as DB King. But giving yourself a range also sets the foundation at that moment, with long-term and short-term benefits, for working towards that single frequency and dB [achievable for some] with a clear, narrower focus. With practice, patience, and consistency, you'll see improvement over time sooner than you think.

Very encouraging, thank you for sharing your experience! I despair of every succeeding at EQ Cheetah, but I am very gradually improving at the other EQ games.

@Mich Lewis-Sorensen Most people I have interacted with on EQ Cheetah, have the same experience with EQ Cheetah. Improving on other exerices, and not so much on EQ Cheetah, is the norm…minus the gifted ones

Do you honestly believe that definitions are 'tips' and 'hacks', or that telling people things that they could read on Wikipedia is a 'secret' or a 'deep dive'?

Well, they say love is blind. Apparently it's deaf too. Try actually doing what you say you are doing in the description. You might find you get less hate that way...

I was really confused as I went to the gym and ended up in distorted reality, then couldn't get out. 😅 Now I got to try it on the 1st level but seriously, I can't get to my next gym game. 🫨 Is there a way to finish the daily excercises? 💪
